US property market 'unlikely to fall further'

Now is a good time to invest in real estate in the US, with many buyers feeling that prices are unlikely to fall any further, it has been suggested.

Paul Collins, editor at BuyAssociation, believes that many property investors are confident that the market in a number of states is unlikely to fall any further, making now a good time to buy.

"People are starting to see the end of the recession hopefully and feel a little bit more confident about investing a little bit of money into the property market," he explained.

Furthermore, Mr Collins thinks that the popularity of the US as a holiday destination - in particular Florida - will mean that it is always a favoured country for British investment.

"The States is still a great place to visit and a place where people want to own a holiday home and it will take a lot for that to change," he added.

According to property portal PrimeLocation.com, searches for properties in the US increased by 145 per cent in the past year.
