Tsenovo is located along the lower course of Yantra River, in the central Danubian Plain, 32 kilometres from Svishtov and 45 kilometres from the provincial capital of Rousse. The modern village of Tsenovo was founded in the late 16th-early 17th century. On 14 August 1934, it was renamed to Tsenovo in honour of the influential Svishtov merchant Dimitar Apostolov Tsenov who donated 40 million leva (20 512 820 EUR) for the construction of the Svishtov University of Economics.
The property spreads over 1000 sq. m. of land with an old traditional house on two levels. The first level is a semi-ground floor, built by stones; the floor above is mud-brick. The semi-ground floor offers 3 rooms and a corridor; the first floor has another 3 rooms, corridor and veranda. The house is old and needs renovation. The yard is well leveled, and big enough for adding a swimming pool. The soil in the area is suitable for growing any fruits and vegetables (apart from the exotic fruits).
The village offers all basic facilities – food shops, restaurants, cafes, internet center, municipality’s building, medical services, a bakery, school, regular bus services, etc. The area is suitable for fishing, walking and picnics by the river. Horse riding and hunting are very popular too. There are few properties owned by British people in the village, and many in the area
