The surrounding area of the village is very beautiful. There are nice mountains and hills covered with forest closing the village into the valley of the famous Iskar river. Iskar is one of the biggest rivers in Bulgaria and by carving its way through the carbonated rocks in the area, it had formed a unique river gorge providing plenty of great spots for fishing and swimming. If you like camping this is the perfect place for you. Whether by the river or on one of the many meadows, in or out of the valley, here you can enjoy a great number of scenic areas for your family day out. Hunting, hiking, cycling are also an option for those long summer days here. A couple of kilometers from here near the village of Karlukovo, tourists can visit one of the most famous caves and tourist sites in Bulgaria – The Prohodna cave. The village is nice and quiet and the locals are very friendly. It takes approx. 90 minutes from Sofia International Airport to here via car and about two, two and a half hours via train depending on the type of train you choose.
