FREE GUIDE INCLUDEDTop 10 Tips for Buying Property
Close to the centre of the village of Plan de la Tour and its shops, a few minutes walk from the Place de Marche, this Bastide is situated in a quiet residential area. Access via a small road connects you quickly to the main routes to both Ste-Maxime and to Grimaud. The two story villa is on land of 2050m with well tended gardens with plane trees offering shade to the south side of the house in summer, while losing all their leaves to allow the winter sun in. You access the entry hall through an old traditional XVIII century solid door which has been carefully restored. The floor is of Spanish terra cotta tiles. From the hall you enter the living area which is divided by an arch into the lounge with its natural open fireplace and the dining room. Two pairs of french (well, they would be, wouldnt they?) windows open south into the garden, as do one set from the dining room. A separate, well fitted kitchen has a glazed door to the garden and is connected to the utility room, which also has a glazed door to the back of the Bastide. Additionally, on the ground floor, is a semi independent part, which can be accessed from either the utility room or via a glazed door from the back garden. One room is currently used as an office with access from the utility room. The other is a bedroom with triple French windows giving access to the garden on the east side of the Bastide. En suite, there is a shower with WC. This bedroom and its shower room are not yet completed as regards the floor tiles, painting and fitting of the sanitary ware. This part of the house could be converted to an independent studio by using the office for the living room with open corner kitchen. Also at ground floor level is a guest WC and a good under stair storage cupboard. At the end of the hall is the master bedroom with a floor of Red Verona marble and french windows opening south onto the garden. The bedroom is separated from its en-suite bathroom by a wall of wardrobes. The bathroom is stunning, with the basin and bath tops in the red Verona marble, with complementary tiling to the rest of the bathroom. On the first floor are three further bedrooms, all with fitted wardrobes, one having an en-suite shower room. There is a separate bathroom and a further independent WC with handbasin and cupboard. The Bastide has reversible air conditioning throughout and the entire project has been carried out with the emphasis on tradition and good taste. There is a traditional pool with timber deck surround, pool house, a working well and a deep well (forage) and car port. The garden is best appreciated from the photographs.
