Many American investors overlook the potential of an intelligent property investment in Spain.
The distance puts many off and lack of knowledge in the subject also has an adverse effect. Many investors look to secure a Spanish Property with a low deposit and take part in the guaranteed rental scheme. This limits financial exposure to a minimum and allows the property to appreciate in value over the duration of the guaranteed rental period. The investor then looks to either sell this property at its current market value towards the end of the rental scheme or, longer term investors continue to rent and allow the property to continue to appreciate. Other investment strategies involve the investor utilising the re-assignable feature in the contract and seek to sell the property prior to completion and benefit from the standard price increases during the various construction phases of the development.
