Cortijo del Ciego is a 200 year old farmhouse (finca) in the Province of Jaen, Andalusia, near the village of Frailes in the Sierra Sur. It is approximately 15 kms from the historical town of Alcala la Real. The house is semi-detached, both halves originally being owned by the same family since being built. The other house is spanish owned and does not overlook Cortijo del Ciego – no windows face the house or look out onto the pool. The house has been fully converted and renovated in a traditional style, retaining many of the original features of the house but offering comfortable and modern living accommodation. The house has 6 bedrooms (two with en-suite shower rooms), set over two floors. There is a 3rd shower room and a downstairs cloakroom. The house has a modern kitchen, dining room with bar, sitting room, its own swimming pool and several terraces to enjoy the stunning views! The kitchen is in a single storey extension off the front entrance courtyard. The downstairs cloakroom is off the kitchen (via a lobby). The dining room is accessed from both the entrance hallway and the kitchen from which there is a door to the side (west facing) terrace. The sitting room leads off the dining room with access to the pool and back terrace. There is a single bedroom on the ground floor.Upstairs there are two double bedrooms (with ensuite shower rooms), two twin bedrooms and one single bedroom, a landing area and a large raised sitting/chill-out area. Access to the upstairs terrace is from the landing. There is a large oak tree on the side terrace which gives great shade. The best views are from the side terrace looking west towards Frailes and the popular town of Alcala la Real. So this is great as a rural business but also would make a superb family home. It has good access too and isn't far from the village. Price is negotiable.
