The company said that there is now a far greater number of British and other foreign buyers who are purchasing Turkish land on the coast for the purposes of building their own properties. "Buyers coming to us in search of a plot often already own a holiday home in Fethiye, with the Calis Beach area being especially popular. For a residential home though, most prefer to be inland or in quieter areas and Fethiye has so much to offer in this respect," said Spot Blue director Julian Walker.
He said that most of the investors in Fethiye and other coastal resorts are looking for all of the factors that would signal a fantastic holiday home with potential for rental income, as well as resell potential in the future. "The great thing about the resort is how accessible it is from the surrounding communities, while the infrastructure upgrades that the municipality is undergoing are making the whole area even more attractive," the expert said, while adding that access to beaches and fantastic views are among the other aspects buyers want.
Elsewhere in Turkey, the picture is looking good for investors as well, according to the latest statistics released by Universal21. It said that returns to be found in Istanbul at the moment are the best found anywhere in Europe at any time in the past three years in terms of capital growth.
