Cape Verde property has "great potential

The Cape Verde property market offers some exciting opportunities for overseas property investors, with the islands of Sal and Boa Vista especially likely to attract the attention of buyers.

This is according to managing director at Cape Verde Property Adrian Lillywhite, who explained Sal is the most popular part of the archipelago at present, due to the fact that it is "developed a little bit more, a little bit more cosmopolitan and grown up as an island" compared to other areas.

Sal also benefits from a wider range of available property, meaning good deals are available for buyers, he observed.

Mr Lillywhite said earlier in 2012 that Cape Verde is one of few areas worldwide where tourism has increased in spite of the economic downturn and he explained Boa Vista could rival Sal in the years to come, as while it lacks the infrastructure of the more developed island, flights from the UK will help boost tourism.

This means it has "great potential for the future", the expert added.
